Living Tree Memorial/Bench Memorial – a thoughtful way to remember a loved one as well as beautify a park site!

If you would like to commemorate a date, person, event, or an organization, in one of our 17 beautiful parks, existing trees and benches are offered through the Memorial Park District for memorializing in our parks. You may have a tree of your choice planted or a bench installed.

Have a tree planted $200+

Type of tree: Evergreen or Deciduous

Cost for a new bench $275+

For the existing “under the tree” or “on the bench” plaques:

  • Basic cost $135
  • Dimensions 8” x 4” x 1/8”
  • Style: Etched metal plate Z-Bronze (this is bronze and dark brown background raised) copy images.
  • $4 per line of copy plus installment fee of $50
  • Logos and or clip art are an additional $40 (for example: $135 + 2 lines $8 – clip art $40 + installment fee $50 = $233)

After-School Program


If you’re looking for an affordable, fun, and reliable place for your child after school, look no further than your own school district. Our after-school program allows your child to get exercise, play games and activities, have a small snack, and get help with their homework if needed. Our goal is to make your night easier by finishing homework and wearing them down with social interaction.

Days:            Every day that District 87 schools are in session

Fee:               For each child

                      For each child with 3 or more in the household in the program

Memorial Park District sponsors two Senior Clubs. The Clubs are now accepting members.

The following rules apply to all Senior Clubs:
1.   In-district adults may join a Senior Club at a yearly club member rate
2.   There is a $25 fee for membership in an additional club
3.   Out-of-district adults may join a Senior Club for a $25 fee

Giant Outdoor Community Yard Sale


Come out and find your treasures or make some cash. The park district will advertise the sale through electronic signs, flyers, and day-of signage.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

A unique twist on the traditional EASTER EGG HUNT!

Pre teens are invited to bring a flashlight and a basket for an evening of hunting for Easter Eggs in the dark. There is a treat in every egg. Be the lucky one who finds the Golden Egg and you’ll win the Grand Prize! Bring a friend and join the excitement!

Easter Egg scramble

The Easter Bunny will toss out candy and prize-filled eggs early in the morning for little boys and girls.
